ICE Duo Quartz 001500 Women’s Watch

If you have a fetish for something out of the ordinary, the ICE watch is for you. When the ICE watch brand was created in 2007, its creator the Belgian entrepreneur Jean-Pierre Lutgen imagined it as a “change”. And a change it made for the folks looking for watches – the ICE watch brings something different to the table. This is an accessory that adds a splash of colour to your persona. It makes a style statement, stands out and gets you noticed.

ICE watches are trendy and versatile, more suited to the carefree spirited younger crowd. An ICE watch won’t cost you a packet; it is very affordable. The wide range of colours and glamorous designs are so attractive that you’re tempted to buy more than one. In fact, that’s what happened to me – I was on the lookout for a cool, stylish and inexpensive watch for my daughter, Rhea. She had lost hers a few weeks ago and badly needed one to wear to school. An online search lead to the ICE watch brand which impressed me the most among several others.

Needless to say, my search for a trendy watch had ended. Downunderwatches.com, (https://www.downunderwatches.com/) an online watch store offered a good collection of ICE watches. ICE Duo Quartz 001500 Women’s Watch was this unique grey body with fluorescent yellow highlights. The ICE Duo quartz has a silicon case and strap. The strap comes with a metallic buckle clasp which is a generally not found on similar watches. The solid metallic case back lends an element of sturdiness to this watch. The silicone strap combined into the construction gave a smooth, look to the watch like it is one single piece.

The ICE Duo offers a minimalistic design, I think the appeal of this watch lies in the sporty shape and its unique colour mix. The mineral crystal covers the dial which is a light grey colour.  With recessed hour markers in the same shade of grey, the bright yellow hands provide a colourful contrast to the neutral dial. The ICE Duo features a Japanese quartz movement like all other ICE watches.

Apparently, ICE watches offer impressive water resistance features; the ICE Duo is water resistant up to 100m.  It was one of the reasons I chose this watch for Rhea – she’s learning to swim and could wear it to swimming class as well.

Given the materials used in its construction, Rhea found the watch to be a comfortable fit. I thought it could also survive the rough use it would be subjected to. Teenagers are not known to be careful with their stuff, so this ICE Duo Quartz 01500 Women’s Watch should do nicely.

ICE watch brand makes some trendy and stylish watches that are inexpensive. Check downunderwatches.com for more.
