This was a purchase for my childhood friend Josh. Josh and I have been friends since high school and we still remain friends, experiencing life together.  A few days ago, I was considering a gift for his upcoming 50^th birthday. A wristwatch seemed like a good option. The Skagen SKW6007 offered an interesting choice with its slim design and unusual colour combination.

Josh is a tall and trim guy so I thought the Skagen SKW6007 would look good on him. The grey dial is accented with an orange ring with seconds markings and well-proportioned hands and hour markers in white emphasize the clean lines of this timepiece. The sturdy titanium case is just 7.65mm thick offering a good fit. The stainless-steel mesh bracelet adds to the refined look of the Skagen Melbye SKW6007.

Skagen watches are built using good quality materials to ensure durability and reliability. A quartz movement keeps the watch ticking, the dial is covered with a hardened mineral crystal that is resistant to scratches. The day/date window positioned at 3 o’clock is well readable. Being a dress watch, Skagen SKW6007 isn’t packed with features but can withstand the rough and tumble of everyday use. Water resistance is not much to speak of although it could take the occasional splashes in its stride.

Two other colour variations were available in the Skagen Melbye Men’s watch, one with black dial, case and bracelet while the other with grey dial, blue circular ring and stainless-steel mesh band. They all look equally good and I can’t seem to make up my mind about which one to get, but I’ll figure it out.
